The FOR-5G project, powered by cutting-edge 5G technology, is transforming Public Protection and Disaster Relief (PPDR) operations by enabling seamless real-time communication and advanced situational awareness.

 

The FOR-5G project is an innovative collaboration designed to dramatically improve how emergency services manage forest fires. The solution combines Rinisoft’s advanced drones with Correlation Systems’ IoT sensors. This powerful integration is essential for delivering real-time data transfer, improved drone control, and sophisticated AI-powered capabilities.

The core of this transformation lies in harnessing the capabilities of 5G networks. By utilizing 5G network slicing, the project achieves a mission-critical level of performance:

These advancements are critical for overcoming the challenges of remote operations. 

SMAUG AI: High-accuracy AI and drone technology for immediate, reliable wildfire and smoke detection

SMAUG AI developed by Rinisoft is a highly accurate hardware-software solution for wildfire detection.

It uses AI-powered drones (UAS) equipped with visible and infrared sensors to provide real-time location and alarm alerts.

 

Field tests have demonstrated exceptional reliability and speed, achieving high target Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for detection:

  • Fire Detection Accuracy: 95% detection accuracy, with a time to detection of just 2 seconds post-ignition.

  • Smoke Detection Accuracy: 98% detection accuracy , with a detection latency of 3 seconds from the initial smoke appearance.

FOR5G Fire Detection Dataset

RiniSoft presents a synthetic image dataset of 51 photorealistic wildfire images. Using the FLAME Diffuser mask-guided diffusion framework, the dataset digitally inserts precisely controlled flame regions into high-resolution drone footage to train and improve computer vision models for fire detection and segmentation.
